The wedding ceremony, or svozhdane as it is called in Bosnia and herzegovina, has countless beliefs that are a part of the country’s lifestyle. They reflect the multiethnic context of the region and the complex way of life in it. The ceremony lasts for three days and nights, and it’s attended by the whole township. Gals and ladies help to prepare meals for guests, bake pies and bakery, fresh grains in the fields, and sing rhythmical songs. Guys enjoy lutes and cifteli and throw marijuana to associates.

Throughout the Balkans, every country and devotion has its own customs about how a relationship if seem like. But the ones from the Balkans are especially interesting and unusual. We’ll speak about some of them in this article and give you a taste of what it was to be a bride or groom in the past.

A lot of the traditions that happen during a Serbian ceremony are connected with the belief that bad spirits and demons you thick evil means on people.
